Follow these easy steps to get your GE Models 16 Refrigerator up and running in no time.
Before using the refrigerator, read all instructions completely and carefully to ensure safety and proper operation.
Do not install the refrigerator where temperatures will fall below 60°F (16°C). Ensure the floor can fully support the refrigerator when fully loaded.
Ensure necessary clearances for ease of installation, proper air circulation, and plumbing and electrical connections: Sides 3/4″ (19 mm), Top 1″ (25 mm), Back 1″ (25 mm).
Adjust the leveling legs near each front corner of the refrigerator until it is level.
Ensure the refrigerator is properly installed and connected to a grounded electrical outlet as per safety instructions.
If applicable, install the water line and ensure there is sufficient extra tubing to move the refrigerator away from the wall.
On models with a power switch, set the icemaker power switch to the 'I' (on) position. On feeler arm models, move the feeler arm to the 'ON' (down) position.
Push the refrigerator back to the wall, ensuring it stays level and stable.
